Introducing Tabitha Booth and Wax Majestic on this formidable EP entitled, Highway to the Heart. Wax Majestic is a trio comprised of Paula Croxson (flute) Ricky Wells (electric bass) and Angel Lozada (drums). This band has come together with Mint400 Records singer-songwriter, Tabitha Booth to create a new sound. A sound that will send your ears on a ride from oblivion to your heart.
Featured session players includes Rebekah Stickler on violin and Edwin Lopez Villada on organ. Jacob Hemmerlin appears on the majority of electric guitar riffs.
Highway to the Heart EP, named by the title track, is a homage to artful determination in a world of instant gratification, expectations, identity and strongly held beliefs. Topics such as PTSD, victimhood and empowerment are visited within all the songs’ lyrics. Including a cover of Cities in Dust by Siouxsie and the Banshees.
The single, Highway to the Heart, finds its lyrical origins at a yoga ashram in Colorado in 2016. Now, in 2024, Tabitha Booth and Wax Majestic make their debut together on this stunning, magical, 4-song EP, recorded and produced by Corey Zack (The Cocoon, Jersey City) and mastered by Ryan Kelly (RSK Audio). Influences: Florence and the Machine, Portishead, Psi Com/Perry Farrel and U2.
